Comments: My wife and I had just bought a house on 7 acres at the beginning of summer. It is a beautiful setting with nice lawns, rock gardens, a brook, and some wooded areas with a small wetland. We soon discovered that this was the perfect breeding grounds for Horse Flies and Deer Flies. We were not able to walk across the lawn without getting "dive-bombed" upon. Mowing the lawn was almost impossible, and many of our backyard activities were disrupted by all these flies. They would just not stop circling and biting unless you were lucky enough to capture and kill them. Sprays didn't work. Hats didn't keep them off your head either. My wife and I decided that we needed some form of trap, and I found your trap. It arrived within a few days, and assembled in a half hour. I set it out in the yard, and flies began to gather in it. The very next day, I was able to mow the lawn, and I do not remember a single fly that bothered me. I must have captured the most aggressive ones in one day! I will be sure to use my new trap next spring, to break the breeding cycle, and solve the fly problem.
